Microsoft Select Licence 6.x (Select)

Overview:

Microsoft Select is a volume licensing program designed for customers with at least 250 PCs.

Agreement Terms:

Customers forecast likely software requirements over three years and the discount level depends on the size of the forecast but is not binding.

Requirements:

Volume is measured using a points system, with higher value licences earning more points. There are 4 levels of discount and 3 pools into which the license categories are divided (applications, servers and systems). It is necessary to forecast the number of points within each pool.

Eligibility:

This program is designed for large corporations, academic institutes and government bodies.

Maintenance & Upgrades:

Installation:

Customers receive the full set of Microsoft product CDs when they enrol in a Select program and report usage as they install the software.
