Symantec Commercial Express Licensing

Symantec Express is designed especially for small to mid-size companies that need an easier way to purchase small license quantities (1-500 licenses) for use within a single country, without time-consuming negotiations. Small and mid-size business customers can use this program to purchase all Symantec security and availability products and support and maintenance options. The more licenses ordered on a given transaction, the greater the pricing incentives. (Volume incentives do not accumulate over multiple transactions). Customers benefit from each transaction, depending on the points level they reach within a single transaction. Points can be accumulated through different products, licenses and maintenance. Other benefits include :

Easy authorization – certificate-based terms and conditions
Easy-to-buy - no contracts
Option to combine licenses for greater discount
Renewal notification well in advance of expiry date to maintain continued service

There is a minimum order level of 5 desktop licenses, or one server license. The discount levels are :

Level S: Minimum quantity 1 points
Level A: 5-24 point
Level B: 25-49 points
Level C: 50-99 points
Level D: 100-249 points
Level E: 250-499 points
Level F: 500+ points

There are two main support offerings in the Express Programme:

Basic Maintenance : Includes access to product upgrades and basic technical support during business hours. This lowest price option is recommended for non-essential system coverage.
Essential Support : Recommended as the core offering across the breadth of Symantec's product line. Essential Support provides 24x7 access to Symantec's award-winning team of technical experts with faster response time (than Basic Maintenance) and access to all product upgrades.

Customers receive their licenses electronically from SellSoft and directly from Symantec. We keep a copy on file so that retrieving license and serial numbers is easy and maintenance can easily be renewed before expiry dates. The number of media kits purchased cannot exceed the number of licenses ordered. Volume license media only can be used to install licenses (ie. Not shrink-wrapped boxes). Software may also be downloaded via the Symantec website.

Any new CDs purchased, or lost CDs replaced, must be in line with the customer’s licensed version. N/A Customers can install the previous edition of some products if the current version is purchased. Centralised purchasing for affiliate office is not permitted under Symantec's Express Programme. Licenses are perpetual. RMAs are accepted within 30 days of invoice.
