Overview:
Business
Objects is a volume licensing program for managing and
maintaining licenses and upgrades. Business Objects
are the vendors for the very popular Crystal Reports
software.
Agreement
Terms:
It
is not necessary to sign a contract or predict future
purchases. The discount agreement is based on an eight
quarter period and if (during this period), the point
total exceeds the initial entry point level, the customer
qualifies for a greater discount for subsequent purchases.
Requirements:
Enrolling
in the program requires an initial order of 75 points
and this determines the discount rate. It is possible
to mix and match licenses, services and upgrades to
accumulate points. Subsequent orders must be worth at
least 15 points.

Eligibility:
Open
to organisations of any size. Educational, government
and health organisations qualify automatically for Tier
C pricing.
Maintenance
& Upgrades:
Upgrade
advantage licenses are a compulsory purchase, which
provide access to all upgrades and maintenance releases
of products.
Installation:
A
Welcome Kit, containing installation CDs, online manuals
and license certificates are sent with the initial order.
New software is also sent directly with the release
of an upgrade.
